Silhouette Shih Tzu is an AKC show home for
quality Shih Tzu located in the San Francisco Bay
Area near Walnut Creek. Our Tzu are whelped
and raised at our home and with the exception of
fully coated show dogs, they pretty much run our
household and us. We are members of Golden Gate Shih Tzu.
We have been breeding and showing Shih Tzu for several years. We owe most
of our modest successes to the fact that Shanon Moberly of Centerfold Shih
Tzu trusted us with her girls when we were just novices and most especially
with a puppy that ultimately became BISS & Gp1 Ch. Centerfold's Western
Silhouette "Tina", the #2 Shih Tzu bitch in the US for 2005, thanks to the
expert handling by our good friend, Mr. Don Rodgers.
Centerfold and Shente linebred Tzu dominate our breeding lines. We have
continued with line-breeding and have recently introduced both Wenrick
(Woody and Shane) and Shotune (Keeper) males into the mix with outstanding
success in some cases. One of big Keeper's get is our Keeper who on 9/11/2008
became a BISS by winning the Kopper Valley Specialty in Salt Lake. Our
Keeper's dam is a Centerfold girl.
While we breed solely for the purposes of improving the breed and showing the
results of those breedings at AKC and ASTC events, we do have Shih Tzu
puppies and retired adults that will ultimately go into pet homes. Please see
the appropriate pages for what we might have available at any given time.
Pet Shih Tzu are only placed with a neuter/spay agreement. We will not ship
young puppies and we strongly prefer to meet prospective owners in person
where practical.
