| Candy is pictured in the show hall at 10 months the weekend she finished. Candy was only shown from the puppy class, not by choice so much as happenstance. We were trying to build a few majors with a number of other California breeders and Candy was our "point pup" contribution. We were actually specialing Ch Silhouette's Hollywood Harlot "Harley" at the time, and we made no friends when our throw-in puppy took 3 of the 4 majors over two weeks. She also managed to take Breed away from Ch Harley, then the #20 US Tzu, all three times. The lower of the two small pictures above shows Harley with Breed and Candy with BOW Interestingly, Candy's sire is actually Harley's litter brother "Toby". Candy's Dam is our Tina's half-sister We knew Candy was going to be a mover the first time she went to Starbucks for socializing. That first evening on lead she threw her head and tail up and took off...slowing down only because Carol was too shocked to keep up. She got her official name "Canned Heat" that very night. Though she is cut down now (a huge error to have retired her so soon I fear), her eyes still light up whenever she sees a lead. We still take her to Starbucks too. |
